As we know, parking at Turn Moss can be difficult- and next weekend, we are expecting the site to be at maximum capacity.
We’re launching our first Greener Travel Day, encouraging everyone using Turn Moss to think about how they travel to matches, and whether you can make a greener choice for all, or even part of your journey. We’re asking you to:
- Walk or cycle if you’re local
- Share with another player, coach or supporter
- Park and share by meeting away from Turn Moss and continuing in one car
- Park and walk If you’re travelling from further away
- Consider public transport for all or the final part of your journey
Some alternatives include:
- Longford Park Athetics Stadium- around 6 minute walk
- Longford Park Car Park (Off Cromwell Road)- around 11 minute walk
- Stretford Tram Stop- around 15 minute walk
As with on site parking, all vehicles are parked at the owners’ risk and should be parked in considerately and in accordance with any restrictions.
Greener Travel doesn’t have to mean changing your whole journey- sharing a car, walking the final stretch or using public transport for the final part of your journey can all help to reduce the pressure on parking while making your journey more environmentally friendly.
