The Manchester Amateur Sunday Football League, known synonymously as MASFL, is an accredited grassroots league located in Greater Manchester, UK.
Since founding in 1947, we have offered Open Age, male football to hundreds of different teams across the city and wider region. Our teams have gone on to have widespread success in County Cup Competitions, with many of our players going on to enjoying gametime at the semi professional levels of the game.
No matter the drastic change Manchester has undertaken over the preceding 7 decades, MASFL have been firmly committed to offering one of the highest standards of Sunday Football that the city has to offer.
In modern times, the league still strives to be the best. Through the hard work of our volunteers, we achieved ‘Charter Standard’ and in more recent years, ‘England Football Accredited’ status. In addition, we strive to offer football to everyone – no matter their background. MASFL believes football truly is ‘for all’.
The league is currently affiliated to Manchester Football Association, with our teams being registered to a number of the nearby County Football Associations.
Matches take place across Manchester, however many of our matches are played at Turn Moss Playing Fields in Stretford.
This season the league operates across two divisions, however this is reviewed prior to the commencement of every season, depending on demand.
We are supported by an extensive panel of Match Officials, and a volunteer run committee that strives to push the league from strength to strength at all times.
