On the 8th of May 2026, our League Chairman issued written notice to key stakeholders that the Manchester Amateur Sunday Football League had collectively taken the decision to NOT proceed with the proposed merger with HOSFL.
These stakeholders include Hyde & Oldham Sunday Football League itself, Manchester Football Association, our teams and our referees.
Following talks between both League Management Committees, this was believed to be in the best interests of our league, and its participants.
We would like to express our appreciation for the opportunity and the discussions that have taken place. We wish HOSFL every success in the future.
Our focus will now turn to planning and progressing into the forthcoming season.
